Meet Jen Maynard

Jen is passionate about walking alongside those dealing with stressful or traumatic experiences, and is constantly inspired by resilience and change. She listens with empathy and takes genuine interest in hearing your personal story.

As a counselor, Jen is committed to your well-being and helping you on your path of healing. She will guide you in building self-compassion and leading a more mindful, purposeful life. Jen believes in the powerful connections that we have to others, and works to create or restore healthy, loving relationships. She provides you with a comfortable, safe space to ensure that you feel validated, valued, and empowered.

Jen grew up in the Washington D.C. area and received her undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland. She now lives in middle Tennessee with her family. Jen has a master’s of Marriage and Family Therapy from Trevecca University, where she was initiated into Chi Sigma Iota, an international honor society that values academic and professional excellence in counseling. Jen has received specialized training in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy and Emotionally Focused Therapy for Individuals. She has completed Phase 1 and Phase 2 of Brainspotting training and has completed training in EMDR. She is certified in the Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training. Additionally, Jen is a certified Prepare/Enrich facilitator.
